Challenges I have of using an educational tool.

StydyStack.com

For my mini online ART course, I was trying to use Study Stack.com, but sets there may contain information may not always be accurate because other students or teachers created these flashcards, better to create your own cards. There are people with bad intentions that create false cards which give you wrong information, only seek to harm others and no one controlling it.

On the website there are ads, which can make studying or learning distracting. If you would like to create flashcards to study you will need to sign up and create an account, which will need personal information including email and age (for full functionality) might restrict use. Study Stack is free but for PRO users, it costs $1.50 per month or $10 per year for students. This removes ads for the teacher and their students. For tasks that require memorization, these flash cards and games provide enough variety to keep kids interested but lack collaborative features. Also, since there's no built-in audio feature, teachers might have to make arrangements for students who need additional support. I found it not very engaging and interacting for ART lessons. For me Study Stack was not an easy and simple to use.

I have not figured out how to add an image to one side of the flashcard. It would be nice to be able to add a photo of a particular bone or artery and be able to practice quick memorization/recall practice. There may be a way to do so - I just haven't found it yet. I don't love that this isn't quite as widely used as quizlet or course hero so the range of topics is somewhat limited. I would like to see them grow so that it could be more useful when comparing with other classrooms' material.
