The ability to draw in the big world is one of the highest indicators of a modern, successful person. Children draw what they think about, what attracts their attention, put their attitude towards it into inflammation, live in manifestation. Drawing is not only fun, but also creative work. I have always wanted to learn how to draw beautifully. I am not a professional artist. The drawing lesson was one of my favorite subjects in school. In my blog, I would like to learn about my passion, to justify its sensitivity. I guess that drawing is not only fun, but also a useful activity. In this blog of ART lessons, I would like to give my advices and advices of professional artists, public knowledge and experience, life hacks and tricks for beginners, discuss reviews, re-read inspiring research stories, sort out art books, and also conduct drawing classes for children.
My mini course contains 6 lessons. Each lesson provides a video, different tasks, literature and assessments.
Lesson 1. Pointillism.
Learn how to create colorful, easy pointillism artwork with
some simple pointillism projects. This easy pointillism art lesson is perfect
for creating beginner pointillism art. Not confident in your artistic skills?
No problem! Get the tips and steps you need to complete a beautiful masterpiece
of your own or teach a pointillism art lesson to students.
Students will learn about the style of art known as
pointillism and the artist (Georges Seurat) who created it.
Evaluate prior knowledge as students begin initial
discussions about Impressionism and its offshoot, Pointillism. Student’s
pointillist paintings provide a summative performance assessment you can use to
evaluate skill in using contrasting color to create shapes and shading.
In the education escape room, students will complete of actually 6 mini lessons and get a diploma. These tasks include: tests, map questions, True/False questions, audio questions, picture questions. In the blooket students to play game and answer questions related to the Pointillism. Similar to Gimkit, Kahoot, and Quizizz, it makes education fun through gamification. In the WorldWall, students will answer 5 Pointillism quiz questions for time.
Lesson 2. Silhouette.
Students will create a blended color background and then use
a black paint to create a simple silhouette of animals over the top of their under
the sea picture. They will do comprehension quizzes, audio tasks and test. This
lesson will teach students the basics of silhouette painting, the students will
develop skills in color blending by creating an under the sea painting, then
work on perfecting the art themselves.
Lesson 3. The Japanese Footbridge.
In this lesson students will find directions teaching
students how to create a Claude Monet inspired Japanese Footbridge. It is
differentiated depending on what supplies the kids might have at home. Pre
lesson check in gives them a chance to fill student’s knowledge about Claude
Monet and his work, in minute of relaxation they can listen to the music with nature
sounds, learn the song and autobiography of Claude Monet, test themselves to find the definition of the
words, and leave a peer feedback.
Students will understand that impressionism is a specific art
movement and that Claude Monet was known as the founder of French
Impressionism, understand that impressionism is marked by paintings that
contain bright colors with brush strokes that show lots of movement, recognize
the painting “The Japanese Footbridge” and understand that it is an example of
an impressionist painting, understand the materials and processes associated
with impressionist paintings.
Lesson 4. The water lilies.
Painting Water Lilies in the style of Claude Monet. This
lesson is perfect for encouraging new painting skills while continuing learning
about this famous impressionist artist. It includes the following benefits:
watching step by step video to depict own picture, follow the link and leave
their opinion about Claude Monet's work "The water lilies". Students
participate in a dialogue based on the topic, read short paragraph and discuss.
Have minute of relaxation to listen to music and be inspired by water lilies
pictures. In this lesson students will investigate the artwork of Claude Monet,
learn about the ideas of Impressionism, engage in watercolor work in response
to Monet’s paintings of water lilies.
Lesson 5. The Great Wave.
Based on the painting The Great Wave off Kanagawa by
Katsushika Hokusai, kids draw and paint their own version of Mount Fuji and the
great wave. Students will watch the video and answer open ended questions, put
ticks to the correct answers in edpuzzle.com, and played the blooket.com game
to check their knowledge. Success criteria at the end of the lesson: students
can use the color wheel to recognize warm and cool colors, can create ART work
influenced by the work of Hokusai, can mix colors effectively.
Lesson 6. Water conservation poster.
This lesson contains helpful advice about how to save water,
and in the process become a more environmentally conscientious person.
The information presents facts and ideas about conservation
for children in a way they will understand. Students are going to watch the
video and answer the questions in quizziz.com and answer the multiple-choice
questions in edpuzzle.com. Students will be able to analyze information and
create a poster way to reduce, reuse and recycle water, to understand the
amount of water people have available on Earth, to know that water is the
natural resource and ways to help conserve it in the various ways.
Lesson 7. Red Fuji.
These Katsushika Hokusai Art Projects for Kids are perfect to
help us learn about the amazing Japanese artist who made Red Fuji and great
waves a thing!
Students will learn: the elements of art in objects in
nature, the environment, and works of art, emphasizing line, color, shape/form,
texture, and space. Demonstrate beginning skill in the use of art media, such
as oil pastels, watercolors, and tempera. Depict the illusion of depth (space)
in a work of art, using overlapping shapes, relative size, and placement within
the picture.
In edpuzzle students will watch the video and answer the multiple-choice questions to check their knowledge.
